Public sector organisations when making major capital investment decisions follow Treasury Green Book Appraisal and Evaluation Manual often known as the Five Case Model for developing business cases recommended by HM Treasury, the Welsh Government and the UK Office of Government Commerce. It has been widely used across central government departments and public sector organisations over the last 10 years.

The guidance document was refreshed on December 2020 and our webinar event will provide invaluable insight into the changes, practical guidance on its application together with recommended approaches.

Infrastructure is the foundation upon which our economy is built. The government remains determined to deliver better infrastructure in the UK to grow the economy and improve opportunities for people across the country. the government’s commitment to invest £100bn in infrastructure by 2020-21. And the wider public sector is significantly involved in intervention and regeneration projects.

The govt recently announced the levelling up fund and many local authorities will be preparing business cases in support of this.
