Property consultancy BTG Eddisons has strengthened its healthcare advisory capability with the appointment of Peter Deehan as director across the firm’s South Coast offices in Fareham, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight.
With more than 40 years’ experience in the property industry, including 25 years specialising in commercial property and construction in central London, Peter brings extensive expertise in healthcare real estate, with a particular focus on monitoring and managing new-build projects in the primary care sector.
He joins BTG Eddisons from Hampshire-based architecture and surveying practice Simpson Hilder Associates, where he held a director role. Prior to that he was a director at Savills, working across the UK on complex healthcare and commercial development projects.
Peter’s appointment will support growing demand from NHS trusts, GP partnerships and private healthcare operators across the UK and Ireland for continued investment in medical infrastructure and community-based healthcare facilities.
Peter Deehan said: “Joining BTG Eddisons at such a pivotal point in the firm’s growth is an exciting step and I’m looking forward to helping clients deliver high-quality, future-proofed facilities that support changing clinical and community needs.”
Ian Harrington, who heads BTG Eddisons’ national building and project consultancy team, added: “Peter’s experience in the healthcare built environment is a significant boost to our capability. His knowledge of the sector, combined with his commercial and technical expertise, will help us support clients as the demand for modern, compliant and sustainable healthcare accommodation grows.”
