Sharing insight for a better public estate

Emma, Joe and sustainability head Nazar will be exhibiting at Government Property 24 on Wednesday 20 March, sharing ideas and strategies with like-minded organisations to help realise the Net Zero ambitions of the UK’s public sector.

This year, one of our goals is to help more organisations access funding to achieve their decarbonisation objectives. As part of our own strategy, we appointed Nazar Soofi as our Head of Sustainability and Decarbonisation.

Nazar has 25 years of experience in delivering huge projects across the globe, and more recently has won over £45million of Salix funding for the delivery of decarbonisation projects across West Yorkshire as part of his work with Leeds City Council.

He will also be speaking at the 11 Portland Street event, helping schools and Trusts realise their ambitions and go through the steps to achieve funding and deliver their energy-saving projects in line with the UK’s own Net Zero goals.

In our exclusive speaker session, Nazar will show how PSDS can be successfully delivered by breaking down the responsibilities of the clients, consultants, and contractors, underpinned by working together to achieve a shared goal of decarbonisation within the one-year funding deadline.

He will also highlight the challenges of the application process and the critical path activities, such as DNO, planning consent and onsite limitations. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the PSDS process, from application to final commissioning, alongside a knowledge of the pitfalls and opportunities you will face.
