Redevelopment of a Grade II Listed Hotel

Project

Following a £6.6m investment, Eddisons’ Lincoln team was appointed as quantity surveyors and project managers to propel the renovation project of a listed hotel through to becoming a 66-bedroom Travelodge.

Approach

The client’s desire to retain the hotel’s heritage was made our priority, and so we liaised with Historic England and local planning authorities to ensure inception to delivery was sympathetic to its past.

Our quantity surveyors held the clients’ wishes to their own objectives, keeping to the timescales and finances set in the planning stages.

Results

The project generated 70 new jobs and has provided visitors with a better access to destinations such as Sherwood Forest, Newark Castle, and the National Civil War Centre.

We were able to hand the Travelodge – and three commercial ground floor units – over to our clients, on time and within budget.
