Whitehall Riverside is a mixed-use development in Leeds. The scheme includes enabling works, commercial offices, a hotel, and a multi-storey car park, complete with an associated public park. BTG Eddisons acted as lead employer's agent and quantity surveyor for the pre-contract stages.
Approach
BTG Eddisons managed cost planning and employer's agent duties from the earliest stages. The team addressed the enabling works and the phasing of a large city-centre site, pricing each component as the design progressed. This gave the client a clear view of cost across the offices, hotel, and car park before commitment.
Results
The client entered procurement with a well-evidenced budget and a defined scope. Early cost control on a scheme of this scale reduced risk ahead of construction.
