Who can apply for Urgent Capital Support?
Academies and sixth-form colleges that are eligible for the CIF Funding can apply for an Urgent Capital Support (UCS) fund.
These applications can be submitted outside the CIF funding as they are for an urgent need for support. What this means is that funds can be requested as soon as the urgent condition appears.

What is the criteria for schools to apply?
Examples of evidence needed to verify if your school can apply include:
- Health and Safety Risk relating to the building condition
- Building condition issue that can result imminently or has already in the school closure
- Building condition that has resulted in or risks in the closure of part or significant area of the school that can prevent curriculum from being delivered
- Urgent works cannot be funded by the trust independently or via a CIF loan.
