Industrial and logistics team wins two IAS Awards

BTG Eddisons' industrial and logistics team has won two awards at the Industrial Agents Society Awards 2026. The team took Deal of the Year (50,000–100,000 sq ft) for the Routeco pre-let at Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes, and director Eamon Kennedy won Best Agency Initiative for his work at Linford Wood.

The awards were judged by a panel of sector specialists, with our team being shortlisted in three categories. The UCC deal at Linford Wood was also shortlisted for “Deal of the Year (under 50,000 sq ft)”. Each category had a strong shortlist, with the other entries including Prologis Park in Hemel Hempstead, Mountpark in Ferrybridge, and initiatives from Savills and Logix Property.

Deal of the Year (50,000–100,000 sq ft)

Routeco, an industrial automation and control distributor founded in Milton Keynes in the late 1970s, signed a 20-year pre-let on the 73,063 sq ft Unit 1 at Shenley Wood (below). The move brings three of its existing Milton Keynes sites together under one roof as a new UK headquarters. Its current workforce stays in the city, and the move adds local jobs.

The unit is half of Hampton Brook's 145,412 sq ft scheme off H6 Childs Way, developed in joint venture with NFU Mutual on land from Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP). Both units are built to BREEAM Excellent and EPC A+, and the scheme is billed as the city's first carbon-negative-in-operation warehouse development. BTG Eddisons was the acquiring agent, and Eamon led the transaction.

Best Agency Initiative 

The Best Agency Initiative award recognises Eamon and his role in how the UCC deal came together. Eamon found an off-market opportunity at Linford Wood (below) for UCC Coffee UK and Ireland, then pulled together a complex deal with several parties to secure the business a new UK headquarters. The result is 44,523 sq ft of office and warehouse space, taken from MKDP on a long lease with options to expand onto adjacent land. The deal keeps UCC's 169 Milton Keynes staff in the city as the business moves from its current site in Tilbrook.

Both winning entries involved established local occupiers who chose to stay in Milton Keynes and move into better buildings, rather than leave for space further along the M1.

Well-specified, well-located stock is in demand, and occupiers around the Milton Keynes area are ready to commit to a long-term lease. Linford Wood also shows that some of the best opportunities never come to the open market and securing them depends on local knowledge and the relationships to act on it.

There remains a 72,349 sq ft unit at Shenley Wood to be let, with Eamon and Paul Quy representing BTG Eddisons as agents.
