Speedy deal on first premises ticks the boxes for packaging company
A 12,326 sq ft light industrial unit on St Peter’s Road Trading Estate, Huntingdon, has been let to a new packaging company in a deal which was completed in five days from the tenant’s first viewing to keys handover, confirms Eddisons who acted as sole agent.
9A Windover Court, Windover Road is the first set of premises for The Packaging Factory - a newly established company specialising in the design and manufacture of cardboard packaging for trade & commercial uses.
In looking for premises in Huntingdon, Barry Lill, The Packaging Factory’s Managing Director, needed a size of workshop/warehouse space that could accommodate the new machinery in which they had invested, as well as being in an easily accessible location for locally-based staff and onward distribution of the firm’s products.
He explains, “In being recently refurbished and within the St Peter’s Road Trading Estate - which is an established industrial location in the town - we knew we had found what we needed from the first viewing of 9A Windover Court.
“It definitely ticked the boxes and we wanted to secure the tenancy as quickly as possible.”
Stephen Power, Director, Eddisons, who led the agency’s instruction at 9A Windover Court, adds, “St Peter’s Road Trading Estate is a coveted location for industrial occupiers. It’s one where business units and commercial premises are, on an ongoing basis, being refurbished and updated to meet the needs of modern industrial and trade counter occupiers.
“As soon as Mr Lill confirmed his interest in the unit, all parties worked to conclude the deal as swiftly to ensure early occupancy in order for The Packaging Factory to be operational in its first premises as soon as possible.”
