A leading car parts and tools supplier to the UK automotive trade will be operational at Autumn Park in Grantham, Lincolnshire early this year and it will be the 56th location in the firm’s ongoing expansion of its countrywide network.
Bennetts - which remains a family firm after 71 years of business trading - will be one of Autumn Park’s latest occupiers in securing a lease on 7,334 sq ft of warehouse/industrial space at Unit 6 through Eddisons and CPP who act as joint agents for the Park’s owner, private equity real estate investor Paloma Capital.
Autumn Park is an industrial estate on Dysart Road in Grantham town centre. An extensive programme of refurbishment has significantly upgraded the commercial offer of the whole park, not just individual units.
Bennetts joins a number of high profile operators at Autumn Park including Marshall Motor Group, Toolstation and Formula One Autocentres, among other industrial and trade counter names, with Eddisons also confirming another recent letting of a 9,306 sq ft industrial unit to a company involved in the healthcare sector.
Regional and national road transport links see Autumn Park with access to the A52, the A607 and the A1. Plus, Grantham is a key station stop on the East Coast mainline as well as providing local, suburban train links.
According to Tony Herbert, Operations Director, Bennetts, Grantham’s prime position on the country’s road network made the town a key target for the firm as part of its very ‘pro-active’ business growth plans of which local recruitment is also a vital part.
On being appointed as the joint agents for Autumn Park, Eddisons and CPP were tasked with profiling the estate to industrial and trade counter occupiers beyond indigenous, Grantham-based operators.
Eddisons’ Will Wall explains further, “The scale of the refurbishment of Autumn Park gave us and CPP the opportunity to tap in to a wider pool of potential tenants who play an active role in the East Midlands corridor’s growth.
“Like Bennetts, it’s tenants who are at a point of their business expansion where they are looking to scale-up now in terms of their property requirements and are at an access point where well-located good quality, but affordable, premises will meet both their immediate and forthcoming needs.
“Securing Bennetts as the occupier for Unit 6 at such a dynamic stage of its strategic growth across the country is a testament to both agents having solid credentials when it comes to meeting our client’s brief and getting deals done.”
