BTG Eddisons expands building safety and quantity surveying offering

BTG Eddisons has strengthened the national team with three senior hires to enhance its building safety advice and quantity surveying service for clients.

Christopher Morvan joins as Director of Building Safety and Remediation, alongside Matthew Watson, Director of Cost Consultancy and Quantity Surveying Services and Mollie Sims, Senior Quantity Surveyor, bringing almost 40 years of collective experience across the construction industry.

Christopher is a registered NEC4 Project Manager with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management. In his role as Director he will play a key role in developing BTG Eddisons' Building Safety & Remediation capability, bringing specialist experience in project management, cost management and Employer's Agent services. Clients will benefit from his commercially focused, technically informed support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial assessment and strategy development through procurement, delivery and completion.

He has extensive experience advising social housing providers, housing associations, developers, building owners and residential asset managers on residential and mixed-use buildings facing complex, high-consequence building safety matters. This includes residential and public sector development projects for clients (Ministry of Defence and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation) having built a strong understanding of defence-sector governance, operational requirements and client expectations during service in the British Army.

Matthew, a chartered surveyor, has a proven track record of delivering quantity surveying, Employer's Agent and project management services on a diverse range of refurbishment, extension and complex new-build projects. By supporting clients nationwide and driving the continued growth of BTG's service offering Matthew will play a pivotal role in expanding and enhancing BTG Eddisons' cost consultancy and quantity surveying capabilities.

He brings almost 20 years of experience in the construction and property sector, advising public and private sector clients across the commercial, residential, retail, education and industrial markets. He

Mollie, who holds a First-Class BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying, brings nearly 10 years' experience delivering cost consultancy and quantity surveying services across the education, residential, commercial and refurbishment sectors. Known for her commitment to supporting local charitable initiatives, she has established a strong reputation in the Leeds market for providing trusted commercial advice.

Recognised for her positive and collaborative approach, Mollie is a highly regarded member of project teams and will play an important role in supporting the continued growth and strengthening of BTG Eddisons cost consultancy and quantity surveying services. Her client portfolio includes private developers, charities, commercial organisations and education providers, with experience encompassing major refurbishment projects and a broad range of commercial and public sector schemes.

These latest appointments follow recent senior appointments of Richard Watson, London and South East Director in Property Auctions, and Josh Foy, Director in Valuations, as BTG continues to expand its BTG Eddisons real estate offering for clients.
