Project
BTG Eddisons acted on behalf of a Milton Keynes-based engineering company in the acquisition of MK:55, a 55,000 sq ft freehold warehouse at Bramley Road, Bletchley, marketed in excess of £5 million. The property was sold by a leading international gifts retailer and sits on a 2.5-acre site and includes a secure gated yard, two-storey offices, high bay warehousing, multiple loading doors and parking for around 33 cars. The acquisition allowed the engineering company to consolidate from two existing Milton Keynes bases into a single, purpose-suited headquarters.
Approach
The instruction carried a particular significance, with BTG Eddisons originally selling MK:55 in 2022 on behalf of a global distribution company. Being subsequently approached by a separate client to acquire the same property is a mark of the trust our industrial team has built in the Milton Keynes market. The transaction was led by Eamon Kennedy and Paul Quy, with the team providing both industrial agency advice and building surveying support. That integrated approach, combining acquisition expertise with technical due diligence, helped secure the property at a competitive market price.
Results
The engineering company secured one of the most sought-after freehold industrial opportunities in the region. As Paul Quy noted,
"Opportunities to acquire freehold industrial space as good as this are few and far between."
BTG Eddisons is now advising the same client on the disposal of their two existing premises, a further demonstration of the long-term relationships our team builds and the breadth of support we provide beyond the initial transaction.
