Ian Harrington

Ian leads the BTG Eddisons building and project consultancy team nationally from our Leeds office. A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM), he brings over 25 years of experience across the full range of building surveying and project consultancy services.

His work spans project monitoring and management, pre-acquisition surveys, dilapidations, contract administration, expert witness services, and CDM compliance, delivered across diverse commercial sectors and for clients ranging from private investors to institutional funds.

Ian combines technical rigour with commercial pragmatism. Whether advising on a complex acquisition survey, managing a challenging dilapidations negotiation, or overseeing a major project from appraisal through to delivery, his focus is on practical outcomes that protect and advance his clients' interests.

Before joining BTG Eddisons, Ian held a director-level position at a UK property consultancy and gained experience at a long-established estate agency and chartered surveyors practice. He holds a degree in Building Surveying and a diploma in Project Management from Leeds Beckett University.

Ian's leadership has been central to developing the BTG Eddisons building and project consultancy service into a comprehensive national offering.
