New mid-box distribution unit takes shape in Peterborough’s Hampton district

A new high quality, self-contained industrial/distribution unit under construction in Hampton, Peterborough, to the very latest specification with energy efficiency in mind, is on course for delivery towards the end of the summer, confirms BTG Eddisons’ agency in the city.

The 32,415 sq ft (3,011 sq m) unit on Club Way, Hampton is being built for a private investor client of BTG Eddisons by Barnack Estates.

A clear span portal frame unit, the modern industrial/warehouse space has an eaves height of 8 metres, two loading doors and two dock levellers. It stands on a self-contained site extending to 2.32 acres.

Steve Hawkins, BTG Eddisons, points to the lack of mid-box opportunities in the Peterborough area in referencing the opportunity this new unit presents to operators in this slice of the warehouse market.

He said, “There are a number of features in this unit that directly appeal to mid-box occupiers looking to secure a new building in taking advantage of Peterborough’s location. The loading and yard areas and, specifically, the provision for dock leveller loading is a rare feature for a building of this size and will appeal to distribution occupiers.

“In addition, our client has an adjacent site available, which could be taken alongside this unit in extending the overall site to around 3.75 acres. This certainly offers the chance of an unrivalled facility in the region.”

The unit on Club Way, Hampton, Peterborough, is available to lease on terms by negotiation.
