The first episode of BE Leaders, a new podcast series from BE News, in partnership with BTG Eddisons, is now available to watch.
The ten-part monthly series features influential built environment figures who have steered businesses through multiple economic cycles. BE Leaders is hosted by Liz Hamson, co-founder and editor-in-chief of BE News.
Liz's first guest is Neil Sinclair, who co-founded chartered surveying firm Sinclair Goldsmith in 1970 and later co-founded Palace Capital, where he was chief executive until 2022. Across nine economic cycles, he has worked in property agency, development and listed companies.
In the episode, Neil talks about finding his first job in 1960 by pounding the pavements, the deals that shaped his career and how his firm built up non-transactional income ahead of the early-1990s downturn.
Dan Pugh, Marketing Director, said: "Neil Sinclair has seen more of real estate's cycles than almost anyone working today, and his episode is packed with the kind of practical insight the next generation of leaders can use. BE Leaders is about the people who make positive change happen in our industry, and we couldn't have asked for a better start."
