Bush Tyres - which has over 30 locations across the UK - has opened its doors on new warehouse premises it’s purchased in Sleaford, Lincolnshire following the conclusion of a deal in which BTG Eddisons acted as agent on behalf of the seller.
The 24,481 sq ft warehouse on a 1.75 acre site is on Hadley Road, an established employment district of Sleaford that is close to the town centre and access to the A47 dual carriageway.
The freehold of the premises was offered for sale with vacant possession earlier this year by BTG Eddisons with a guide price in excess of £1.2 million. The final sale price is not disclosed by the agent or Bush Tyres as the new owner-occupier.
Covering Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire in serving a commercial and private vehicle owning client base, Bush Tyres has recruited new members of staff to its new Sleaford warehouse as well as redeploying staff from other locations.
It opens for business this month at Hadley Road following extensive refurbishment of the new premises over the summer months
Adam Michaels, Director, Bush Tyres, who has overseen the purchase and refurbishment of the new Sleaford premises, said, “It’s a significant commitment to our business presence and expanding offer to clients across the East of England in acquiring the freehold of our new premises.”
Will Wall, Regional Director, Property Agency at BTG Eddisons, led the negotiations on the sale of the Hadley Road warehouse on behalf of the seller.
Speaking about the deal, he said, “The owner-occupier market, particularly in the industrial premises sector, is increasingly being driven by businesses looking for properties that not only meet their current requirements but also future-proof in anticipation of any expansion.”
