Project
The RAF Benevolent Fund is the leading welfare charity for the Royal Air Force, offering financial, emotional, and practical support to serving and former RAF personnel and their families. In 2001, the Fund appointed Eddisons’ Lincoln team to carry out planned maintenance schedules across its growing property portfolio.
Over the last two decades, the partnership has evolved, with Eddisons becoming the retained regional surveyor for the RAF Benevolent Fund. The firm now oversees a broad range of services including property acquisition, building surveys, and inspections across many of the Fund’s East Midlands-based properties.
Approach
Eddisons work in close collaboration with the RAF Benevolent Fund and occupational therapists to ensure the homes within the portfolio meet the specific needs of tenants and beneficiaries. This includes the delivery of accessibility adaptations such as:
- Ramped access
- Adapted shower rooms and kitchens
- Sensory gardens
The firm manages planned maintenance, acquisition surveys, and reactive repair works, ensuring the accommodation remains safe, functional, and tailored to those who live there.
Results
Eddisons has provided surveying services to over 95 properties across the East Midlands over the last 20 years. The firm’s enduring relationship with the RAF Benevolent Fund reflects a deep understanding of the needs of the RAF community and a shared commitment to quality and care.
For over two decades now, [Eddisons] have provided a range of expert surveying services across many of our properties. This work has had a positive impact on our beneficiaries' well-being.
