Situated in Lincoln’s historic quarter, the White Hart Hotel is a landmark destination offering panoramic views of Lincoln Cathedral. Popular among tourists, wedding parties, and business travellers alike, the hotel required a major refurbishment of its 50 luxury bedrooms and suites to uphold its premium status. In 2013, Eddisons were appointed as contract administrators to oversee and manage the entire renovation programme.
Approach
Eddisons’ Lincoln team undertook a meticulous room-by-room inspection to determine the specific repairs and refurbishment needs of each space. Drawing upon their extensive experience in project coordination and heritage properties, they formulated a tailored refurbishment plan for every room.
The scope of the renovation included full redecoration, new carpets, upgraded lighting, window treatments, and the careful restoration of existing furniture – retaining the hotel's character whilst also elevating the guest experience. Throughout the process, Eddisons worked closely with designers, contractors, and the hotel management team to ensure consistency and high standards across all aspects of the upgrade.
Results
The project was successfully delivered in six carefully planned phases to avoid disruption to hotel operations. Thanks to the team’s coordinated approach and on-site presence, the renovation was executed seamlessly, allowing the White Hart Hotel to continue serving guests without interruption. The refreshed rooms have since enhanced the hotel’s reputation for luxury and comfort, further securing its position as one of Lincoln’s most distinguished places to stay.
