55,000 sq ft freehold acquisition in Bletchley, Milton Keynes

A 55,000 sq ft freehold warehouse, known as MK:55, has been acquired by a Milton Keynes-based engineering company at Bramley Road, Bletchley. The property was sold by an international gifts retailer and marketed in excess of £5 million. It sits on a 2.5-acre site with a secure gated yard, two ground floor loading doors to the main warehouse, two more to the high bay section, two-storey offices, and parking for around 33 cars.

BTG Eddisons advised the purchaser on the acquisition, moving the business on from its two existing Milton Keynes bases. The firm also provided building surveying advice, which, alongside the industrial agency team's input, helped secure the unit at a competitive market price. Notably, BTG Eddisons had sold MK:55 back in 2022 on behalf of a global distribution company, before being approached again to act on this acquisition. "It says a lot about our industrial team that, having sold the property back in 2022, we were then approached by another client with a view to acquiring MK:55 on their behalf. That's something that we are rightly proud of," said Eamon Kennedy, Executive Partner and Head of Industrial and Logistics.

The purchaser has secured a well-specified freehold unit close to its existing operations, supported by BTG Eddisons' dual agency and building surveying expertise. "Opportunities to acquire freehold industrial space as good as this are few and far between, so we were delighted to be able to secure MK:55 on behalf of our client.
