Ian Steele

Ian is a Director based in our Liverpool office. He is a chartered surveyor with over 32 years’ experience in the North West office market, specialising in office agency, occupier consultancy and office development advice. He is part of our National property agency team.

Ian advises commercial landlords, developers and occupiers on all office-related matters, from the letting and sale of existing space to the acquisition of new premises. His work across Liverpool and Manchester gives clients a clear, local and Regional view of demand, pricing and availability. He also advises on office development schemes, working with clients from the early stages of a project through to letting.

He has been involved in some of the most high-profile office development and leasing schemes across the North West, which include Daresbury Park, St Paul’s Square in Liverpool, City Place in Chester and both Liverpool and Wirral Waters. 

Prior to joining BTG Eddisons in 2026, Ian spent his career with national and international property consultancies. He began as a surveyor in Liverpool in 1994 and joined GVA Grimley as a Partner in 2004 and became a Principal in 2019. He holds a degree in Estate Management from Staffordshire University and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
