Ben Hartley

Ben is a Director based in our Birmingham office. He is a Chartered Surveyor with over two decades of experience in commercial property, specialising in valuations across the Midlands and beyond. His work spans a broad range of property types and client mandates, with a particular focus on building and developing client relationships across the region.

Ben brings a strong track record in commercial valuation, developed over more than six years as Head of Birmingham Valuations at a national property consultancy, where he led the valuations team and advised clients across a wide range of asset classes. Prior to that, he held partner and associate director level positions at a number of well-regarded national firms, giving him broad exposure to complex valuation instructions, occupier advisory, and investment work. He has advised institutional clients, private investors, and corporate occupiers throughout his career, with extensive knowledge of the Midlands commercial market.

Prior to joining BTG Eddisons in 2026, Ben held senior roles at several national property consultancies, including a period in real estate finance at a major international bank where he managed a corporate real estate client portfolio across the West Midlands and London. He holds a degree in Real Estate and Land Management from Harper Adams University and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
