A leading independent asset leasing business has added storage land on Brunel Drive, Newark, to its operational sites in the East Midlands, with our Lincoln team acting as joint agent with CPP for the landlord in the deal.
The storage land measures in at just under 5 acres and is situated on the north east fringe of Newark, and has been leased to Dawson Group. The group has acquired the site to enhance its industrial plant, machinery and hardware leasing service, whilst keeping their operational base in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Dawson Group’s Head of Operations, Daniel Poismans, confirms that the company is actively expanding its business presence in the East Midlands, and this latest site is in exactly the right location.
He explains, “Secure, serviced storage sites in established industrial, commercial locations on the edge of towns are highly prized by asset leasing operators. The Brunel Drive site, in being less than a mile from the A1, gives us solid, onward access to a number of regional and national road networks in serving and expanding our client base.”
Will Wall - who oversaw the deal alongside CPP - added, “Demand for secure, open storage sites is growing and it’s an active sub-sector within the industrial commercial property market.
“Such sites play a key part in the supply chain supporting infrastructure works and distribution logistics, whether that be for just ‘last mile’ uses or as part of a wider regional or national operation.
“It’s a buoyant lettings market and one that is attracting serious investor interest too.”
