An independent, family-run business producing made-to-measure chairs for customers with mobility and posture support needs is now operational in its new warehouse premises in Orton Southgate, Peterborough following a lease deal steered through by agents, BTG Eddisons and the landlord within five working days of the business first viewing the property.
Cura Seating, who had been at a unit on Axis Park, Manesty Road in Peterborough for 10 years, was coming to the end of its existing lease on premises it had significantly outgrown during that time.
After Cura Seating representatives viewed the 10,000 sq ft warehouse at 11 Tresham Road in the city’s Orton Southgate commercial district mid-week, BTG Eddisons - who was acting as joint agent on behalf of the landlord - worked swiftly in conducting all necessary checks to produce the initial documentation within 24 hours to ensure Cura Seating could move before the lease expiry in its old premises.

Speaking about the relocation to Tresham Road, Adam Vickers, Managing Director, Cura Seating, said, “With a headcount of 13 and an ongoing full order book to fulfil, we needed as seamless a move as possible and had, of course, been looking for suitable premises for a number of months.
“Once viewed, we knew that the Tresham Road unit would be perfect but that it would also be ambitious to think we could secure it in such a short space of time - given the impending nature of our lease expiry at Axis Park.
“It’s testament to the will of the landlord and the professional ability of the agents that they responded to our situation so positively and at speed.”
Julian Welch, Director, Property Agency, BTG Eddisons - who spearheaded the lease negotiations, together with the landlord - commented, “Our client took a pragmatic view to get the deal done.
“Where there is demand, it’s important to react positively to such active interest when it’s expressed by potential tenants.
“It’s proof that a deal can happen quickly if all parties are motivated to do so.
“Cura Seating is a Peterborough business success story and in providing products and a service geared towards improving people’s lives, it’s good to see them having the right sized premises from which they can continue to fulfil their order books comfortably.”
