A substantial part of office space in Huntingdon town centre has been let by Eddisons to a government agency.
The 5,500 sq ft of office space is on the second floor of Godwin House on George Street, in the heart of the town centre, close to the pedestrianised area of the High Street and Market Square and also the railway station.
Recently, Eddisons confirmed it had sold a 3,552 sq ft office building on Ermine Business Park in the town’s popular office district outskirts, but this latest letting on George Street secured by Eddisons - one of the joint agents under instruction - is regarded as ‘significant’ as it serves to profile the benefits of being in the town centre.
Eddisons’ Stephen Power, who led the agency’s leasing of the Godwin House space to the new tenant, explains, “The accessibility and connectivity of Huntingdon town centre by public and private transport is favouring good quality office space that becomes available in this location.
“It’s a location with on-site parking and a short walk from the town centre bus station and the railway station with its frequent services to London and Peterborough on the East Coast Main Line.
“Along with the ring road that circles the town centre and accesses the A14 west towards the M6, south to Cambridge and the M11/Stansted corridor and the A1(M) north make it an extremely convenient location for both clients and employees.”
