Eddisons on the ball with sports project appointment

A Cambridgeshire town’s cricket and hockey club has appointed Eddisons as surveyor and contract administrator on a project to deliver their new clubhouse.

Wisbech Town Cricket & Hockey Club (WTCHC) has appointed Eddisons to work with the principal contractor, D Brown (Building Contractors) Ltd following an extensive fundraising campaign that was boosted by a bequest from a valued past member of the Club, Fred Judd and monies pledged in memory of his mother, Mary.

Director Daniel Garfoot is leading Eddisons’ building consultancy team having advised on a number of sport-related projects before including, most recently, a new sports hall for a school in North Lincolnshire. D Brown (Building Contractors) Ltd share sporting credentials in having been involved in a recent regeneration project at Spalding Golf Club.

The new clubhouse project is extensive in enhancing all aspects of the club’s facilities including catering, spectator viewing areas and improved parking.

Work is already underway on site this autumn and is on schedule to deliver a new sports facility and amenity for the town’s cricket and hockey team and their supporters in Summer 2026.
