BTG Eddisons has landed one of the largest office freehold deals in Peterborough in recent times by selling, with vacant possession, Monkstone House on City Road, next to Peterborough Cathedral.
At a total of 28,250 sq ft of office accommodation across four storeys, with allocated on-site barrier access parking, the freehold of Monkstone House was marketed for sale through BTG Eddisons, on behalf of the owner, at a guide price of £2.8 million.
While the identity of the purchaser and the final sale price achieved remain undisclosed by BTG Eddisons, the agent confirms that all parties involved in the transaction were satisfied with the outcome of the transaction.
In being the biggest office space freehold deal in Peterborough in recent times, BTG Eddison points to the sale being conducted against the ‘far from buoyant’ market backdrop that has characterised the office market in the region for the past six years.
This, according to director Julian Welch, makes the successful sale of Monkstone House even more significant for the firm and for Peterborough.
