Semis, commercial estates and a Royal Charter

Christmas is around the corner and we have been delighted to see that festive enthusiasm of both our sellers and bidders, who have really jumped at the opportunities on offer in our online auctions in November.

Our property auctions division comprise Pugh & Co, Mark Jenkinson, and SDL Property Auctions, serving the country as committed and dedicated auctioneers.

66 68 & 70 High Street, Mexborough, South Yorkshire, S64 9AU

With over 3000 sq. ft. of accommodation within the space, we knew that an investor would snap up the four-unit building at last month's auction.

Comprising three ground-floor units spanning three addresses and one larger unit on the first floor, the building has brought in over £25,000 in rental income over the years.

To ensure a better yield, considerable renovation is recommended.

Industrial Units at Rotherham Close, Norwood Industrial Estate, Killamarsh, Sheffield S21 2JU

11 units between 1,520 and 3487 sq. ft., bringing in a total rental income of £126,620 per annum, went under the hammer in November.

The site on Rotherham Close is currently fully let, but was sold to our highest bidder as a freehold property.

A short distance from Sheffield and a few minutes from M1 Junction 31, this was a lucrative sale and will continue its profitability long into its new ownership.

Flat 3, Telford Court, Severn Side South, Bewdley, Worcestershire DY12 2DX

A one-bedroomed leasehold property went under the hammer last month, hoping to be won by someone ready for a significant project.

Situated in the lovely town of Bewdley, overlooking the Severn, this flat has a lot of potential and could make a healthy profit if the buyer wanted to flip it.

109 Main Street, Burton Joyce, Nottingham NG14 5EG

Burton Joyce is a covetable commuter village in Nottingham, and we were thrilled to auction a two-bedroomed cottage with a stunning garden space last month.

Large rooms and other Georgian features make this property a real gem.

A strong renovation would bring this cottage in line with the rest of the charming terrace it sits in the middle of.

1  /  3

79 Green Leys, St. Ives PE27 6RY

St. Ives in the county of Peterborough is a well-sought-after part of the UK, and nothing shows this more than last month's auction.

This three-bedroomed house had a guide price of £145,000 and, even though in need of considerable refurbishment, was sold in November for £252,500.

Land On The West Side Of Whites Cut, Midgeholme, Lambley, Brampton, Cumbria, CA8 7NB

This strangely-shaped albeit large parcel of land sits south of the A689, 30 minutes' drive from Carlisle.

Save for a wayleave agreement that allows overhead powerlines to cut over the land and some disused train tracks that acts as an access path, the land is untouched and ready to be explored by an investor, developer, or even someone who wants to keep the land as is.

1  /  4

1052 Chorley Old Road, Bolton, Lancashire, BL1 5SE

This vacant three-bedroomed property in suburban Bolton was on the market via property auctions, to get the best price whilst the standard house-selling process slows towards Christmas.

Needing some renovation before being fit to live in, we expect this to be a brilliant family home soon.

1  /  3

39 Willow Avenue, Gloucester GL4 4NY

This sturdy family home hit the market mid-renovation last month, hoping to find an enthusiastic buyer.

Although a new kitchen and bathroom were already in situ, 39 Willow Avenue needs considerable work.

That being said, the house did achieve over £40,000 its guide price.

Frodsham Market Charter, Main Street, Frodsham, Cheshire, WA6 7AU

We were able to market a very unusual opportunity in November, where a Royal Charter with market policy went under the hammer.

The Charter allows the holder to operate a weekly Thursday market and two annual days for fairs in the town of Frodsham in Cheshire.

The market currently runs down the town's Main Street and remains popular with locals, which was refelcted in the £197,000 sale price.
