Amazing sales in February
Albeit the shortest month, we packed in a lot of brilliant properties for our bidders in February.
Our property auctions division comprise Pugh & Co, Mark Jenkinson, and SDL Property Auctions, serving the country as committed and dedicated auctioneers.
Savoy Buildings, Bridge Street, St. Helens, Merseyside, WA10 1NU
With 15 viewings for this huge commercial property, we knew this unit was going to be popular at auction. The building spans 24,565 sq. ft., across three separate units. Complete with central loading bays and an opportunity for redevelopment, this was a brilliant purchase.
24 Abbots Road South, Leicester LE5 1DA
This large Victorian home is in need of considerable renovation, but there is significant land to the rear of the property making it a great project for a keen developer.
The three-bedroom house also has three reception rooms and is in a sought-after part of Leicester. Needless to say, the property sold for £230,000 over the guide price.
Concorde House, Carr Lane, Hyde Park, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN4 5AA
A former school building erected in the Victorian times, Concorde House has also been used as substantial office space. Coming in at over 9500 sq. ft., there is lots of potential in this single-storey space.
42 Mansfield Road, Edwinstowe, Mansfield NG21 9NJ
Over 20 people viewed this property in the lovely area of Edwinstowe when the two-acre premises went up for auction last month.
The house has been unoccupied for some time, and will need a lot of work to bring it back to its former glory. It sold in the live streamed auction for £745,000.
New Clee Industrial Units, Spencer Street, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, DN31 3AA
We were happy to see this vast industrial investment property on the market in February.
The lot comprised three buildings with a total of 14 units, close to the historic Grimsby Docks. The site needs some modernisation for the light industrial sector that this property appeals to, but this did not put off bidders.
The property sold for £1,130,000.
39 Second Avenue, Kidsgrove, Stoke-On-Trent ST7 1DD
A perfect family home in a popular suburb of Stoke-on-Trent interested 27 bidders last month, with the price reaching nearly three times its guide price.
With two bathrooms and two large gardens to the front and rear, our auctioneers felt this would be an excellent flip project for a dedicated buyer.
Valley View House, Lister Lane, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD2 4LL
Sold as part of City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council's disposal scheme, this care home was sold with vacant possession.
Comprising a commercial kitchen, plant room, and swimming pool, there is a high chance that this property could change its use or otherwise be redeveloped into another health and social care facility.
27 Yarrow Road, Chorley PR6 0LU
We were pleased to see a lot of interest in this solid two-bedroom terraced home in Lancashire.
40 people viewed the property, which is in need of renovation, to bring it to today's standards.
It sold in the live streamed auction for £99,500.
196 Crookesmoor Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S10 1BE
Perfect for students, this investment property was snapped up in auction last month.
Licenced as an HMO, the three-storey house can sleep five, with the smallest bedroom sized at just over 100 sq. ft.
A home with lots of light and great interior decoration, this property will be a profitable rental opportunity for the successful bidder.
94B Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe, Manchester, Lancashire, M26 4FA
In need of substantial renovation, we were excited to see this two-bedroom terrace in the popular commuter town of Radcliffe go up for auction.
This property received substantial interest with an impressive 36 bids and a sale price well in excess of the guide price.
