Surf Snowdonia Conwy

Traffic and transport advice for Surf Snowdonia

Project

Eddisons were instructed to provide traffic and transport advice to support a planning application to create the UK’s first ‘Wavegarden’ inland surf lake at the former aluminium works in Dolgarrog in North Wales.

Approach

The project involved input at the feasibility stage and included the provision of Transport Assessment, input into the Environmental Statement and the provision of a Construction Traffic Management Plan, which was agreed with the highways officers at Conwy Council and the Welsh Government.

Results

Planning Approval was secured in June 2014 and Surf Snowdonia opened in August 2015.
