Your life as a Compliance Administrator
With support from the Compliance Manager, you will provide specialist support to our business areas to help them comply with their legal and regulatory requirements. You’ll check property files to make sure we have met our compliance requirements before a property is sold. You'll develop strong relationships with everyone you deal with, be able to work as part of a team to resolve issues and help us keep our promises to our customers. You will be proactive, professional, organised and have an energetic can-do attitude.
Role responsibilities
- Assess customer ID and property ownership in line with Anti-Money Laundering ‘AML’ guidance, escalating cases where necessary to your Line Manager and/or the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
- Regularly review current property listings, chasing up outstanding customer ID or legal documents. Chasers to be undertaken at least twice per week.
- Monitor the compliance inbox and respond to queries, escalating these to your Line Manager where necessary.
- Regularly review withdrawn properties, checking the Land Registry for changes in proprietor.
- Keep spreadsheets up to date on complaints/disputes, AML, data protection.
- Track properties with unpaid deposits or fees, writing to customers as required.
- Investigate customer complaints, escalating these to your Line Manager where appropriate.
- Investigate suspected breaches of the auction contract with the help of your Line Manager.
- Respond to general data protection queries, assist with collating Subject Access Requests.
- Assist with audits, collating information as requested by your Line Manager.
- Where legislation changes, assist with implementing new ways of working as directed by your Line Manager
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned by your Line Manager
About You
We want to find a self-motivated individual with a customer focus who has:
- Desirable: 1 year of experience working in compliance and/or legal firm. Training will be provided as required
- Desirable: 1 year of experience working in auctions or wider property services
- Experience of multi-tasking and prioritising in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to stay calm during tricky conversations and de-escalate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A good standard of numeracy and literacy
- Good data entry and typing skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK and everything it takes to successfully complete pre-employment screening
