Richard Turton

Richard is a Regional Director based in our Bristol office, specialising in building consultancy across the South West and South Wales. With 20 years' experience in commercial property, he focuses on dilapidations, technical due diligence, and contract administration, advising both landlords and tenants on a wide range of professional building surveying matters.

Richard's primary specialism is dilapidations, where he is regularly instructed on complex cases requiring expert advice and, where necessary, formal dispute resolution. His work spans pre-lease, mid-term, and lease-end instructions across a broad range of commercial property types. He also undertakes technical due diligence on acquisitions and contract administration roles on large-scale refurbishment schemes, giving clients a single point of expertise across the building consultancy lifecycle.

Prior to joining BTG Eddisons in September 2025, Richard held director-level positions at two national building consultancy practices, accumulating nearly 15 years of senior-level experience across the South West market. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Building Surveying from the University of the West of England.
