Courtney Thain

Courtney is a Service Charge Accountant based in our Milton Keynes office. With eight years' experience in service charge management, she specialises in financial operations, budgetary control, and service charge governance across complex commercial and mixed-use residential portfolios. She is recognised as a subject-matter expert in RICS compliance and service charge accounting.

Courtney has built a strong track record of managing service charge accounts across mixed commercial and residential properties, combining strategic financial oversight with hands-on knowledge of building management and lease administration. She has extensive experience in budget forecasting and management, account management, and ensuring transparency and long-term value for both clients and occupiers. Her work spans the full-service charge lifecycle, from budget preparation through to year-end reconciliation, with a consistent focus on raising standards and improving the client and resident experience.

Prior to joining BTG Eddisons, Courtney spent time working as a Lease Expense Adviser at a property consultancy, where she developed her expertise in RICS compliance and service charge accounting across residential and commercial portfolios.
