Mike Coogan

Mike joined Eddisons in 2019, the same year that they acquired Croft Transport Planning and Design. With over 25 years’ experience in detailed highways design, he has worked for a number of consultants in the private sector.

From planning through to design, construction and operation, Mike is actively engaged in all stages of project development. He is responsible for the procurement, project management and design of street scene improvements, traffic calming initiatives, development access roads, link roads, junctions, commercial car parks, residential and commercial drainage design and the production of contract documents.

Mike has been responsible for the design and implementation of a wide range of schemes for an equally wide range of clients. Recent projects that Mike has managed include Langley Sustainable Urban Extension comprising the delivery of off-site highways infrastructure for a 6000 unit residential scheme in Birmingham and also providing advice to MOTO for their network of Motorway Service Areas across the UK.

Working closely with clients and representatives of other disciplines, Mike supports the planning, co-ordination and management of the activities of the project team, whilst delivering cost effective and innovative solutions to fulfil clients’ requirements. Mike helps to ensure that all client and reporting time-scales are met, and projects are delivered to time, budget, scope and to a high standard. In his spare time Mike enjoys cycling and also sprints for the Great Britain Masters athletics team and has won numerous British, European and World Championships.
