James joined Eddisons in 2007 and is a well-respected Director. Originally based in the Leeds office, he moved to the London office in 2009 to establish the firm’s southern Banking and Property Valuation teams. He principally advises secured lenders, property companies and charities in respect of commercial and residential real estate.
James has been responsible for some of the firm’s most notable instructions, including the asset management and divestment of a mixed-use portfolio comprising 187 properties, to advising the lender and facilitating the sale of a central London portfolio for £52m and, most recently, advising the owners of a 2,000-acre estate with complicated planning, occupancy and building repair issues.
As a graduate of Loughborough University, James is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a RICS Registered Valuer and a Fellow of NARA. In 2014, James spent several months seconded to a major client of the firm.
