An office building in Leeds city centre is at full occupancy following the completion of a recent letting.
The remaining 1400 sq ft arranged over the third and fourth floors at Kenneth Hodgson House on Park Row has been let to an unnamed tenant, at an asking rent of £15,400 per annum.
The Leeds office of Chartered Surveyors Eddisons acted on behalf of the landlord, Westcourt Properties Ltd. The joint agent was Harvey Burns & Co.
18 Park Row is a Grade II listed free-baroque building, built in 1900 for the West Riding Union Bank. Originally known as Abtech House, it was renamed Kenneth Hodgson House as a lasting legacy to Mr Hodgson, the founder of the Westcourt Group who passed away in 2011.
The firm bought the building in 2012 and has since carried out an extensive restoration and refurbishment programme. Other tenants include Dresler Smith and MET Marketing.
Steven Jones, Associate Director at Eddisons said: ‘We are delighted to have completed the final letting on behalf of our client who has invested heavily since acquiring the building to create high quality boutique office accommodation.’
Meanwhile, the Westcourt Group is actively looking to acquire further office space in Leeds city centre, suitable for refurbishment. Tim Hodgson, Director, says: ’We are particularly keen to purchase another Grade II listed property which our experienced team of professionals can once again breathe new life into.’
Joining Eddisons as an Associate Director in 2013, Steven brings to the table over fifteen years’ experience as a surveyor, particularly active within the Yorkshire commercial property market as a professional consultant in general practice, including ten years' PQE (Post Qualified Experience).
Steven now leads the Leeds agency team providing coverage in investment brokerage, industrial and logistics as well as office agency and development.
As a member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), The Leeds Office Agents Forum (LOAF), The Industrial Agents Society (IAS), and as Joint Chairman of The Office Agents Society (OAS) for Yorkshire, Steven’s solid industry knowledge, expertise and networks make him a reliable reference point for clients ranging from high net worth individuals, occupiers, PLCs, regional property companies as well as banks and investors.
