The Bradford office of Chartered Surveyors Eddisons has completed a letting at a popular business centre in the city.
The 3,500 sq. ft. trade counter unit at Towngate Business Centre on Windsor Street, near Wakefield Road, has been let to James Hargreaves Plumbers Merchants on a ten year term, off an asking rent of £5.00 per sq. ft. The incoming tenant has 25 plumbing depots across Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Eddisons, acting on behalf of the landlord Brigdale Towngate Plc, finalised the deal quickly ensuring the unit was occupied immediately after the previous tenanted vacated, removing any potential void costs. The joint agent was Walker Singleton.
All 8 units at the business centre are now let with tenants including Wolseley UK Ltd and Gap UK. John Padgett, Director at Eddisons, says this emphasises the current demand for good quality trade counter units in the Bradford area.
‘There is limited supply of good quality, well located trade counter units in and around Bradford which is putting a premium on those which do come to market.
‘Although some speculative development is taking place demand is certainly outstripping supply which is delivering high levels of occupancy and driving rental values up,’ he says.
The area around the Towngate Business Centre has long been a popular trade counter location given its proximity to Bradford city centre and the motorway network, with tenants including Plumb Centre, CEF and Tool Station.
