The Bradford office of Chartered Surveyors Eddisons has been appointed to market a residential development opportunity on Midland Road in Bradford.
The site, close to Bradford City’s Valley Parade ground, extends to over 2.5 acres and has historic planning permission for 21 dwellings, comprising a mix of 3, 4, and 5 bedroom houses, each with gardens and parking areas.
According to Steven Jones of Eddisons there has already been interest in the site which is for sale on a freehold basis, with offers invited over £375,000.
‘We have already received numerous enquiries from a range of potential buyers which reflects the appetite for well located development sites.
‘Additionally the fact that there has been historic planning consent granted for residential development is proving to be a key attraction.
‘The site could also lend itself to commercial and industrial development, subject to the necessary consents,’ he said.
Meanwhile, Eddisons has also been instructed to market 55,000 sq ft of prime warehouse/industrial space at Bowling Back Lane in Bradford, as well as a 15,000 sq ft unit at nearby Lower Lane.
Mr Jones said: ‘Due to the improving economic conditions there is a shortage of high quality modern industrial stock coming to market in the Bradford area and demand is currently outstripping supply. This will be reflected in the interest these units generate.’
Eddisons has also recently let an additional 15,000 sq ft unit at Lower Lane to a confidential tenant, off an asking rent of £4 per sq ft.
Richard joined Eddisons in 2003 and has been the Managing Partner since 2012, a role that sees him lead the strategic direction and development of the business under the ownership of Begbies Traynor Group plc. Richard has been instrumental in the growth of the business which has seen turnover more than double since 2008.
In addition to his role as Managing Partner, Richard continues to play a vital role with key clients, particularly in the banking sector, where he is a trusted adviser to major high street clearing banks. Over the last eight years, Richard has been appointed LPA Receiver on many high profile properties and assists in the recovery of distressed loan portfolios.
Prior to joining Eddisons, Richard worked in the real estate division of a 'Big Four' firm where his notable assignments included the privatisation of Saudi Telecom for flotation on the New York Stock Exchange.
