The Birmingham office of national Chartered Surveyors Eddisons has announced the appointment of Cameron Wright and Mohammed Basharat as part of an on-going expansion and increased service offering.
Mr Wright has joined as a Director in the Licensed, Leisure and Hotel division. He was a formerly an Associate Director at Jones Lang LaSalle and has over 20 years industry experience.
He will provide valuations of all types of licensed and leisure based businesses for banks, insolvency practices and private clients in the West Midlands area, as part of a national team.
Recent instructions include the valuation and disposal of up to 66 public houses across England, many of which are in the West Midlands.
A number of trading related valuations have also been undertaken across the hotel and leisure fields.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Basharat joins as an Associate Director, with responsibility for landlord and tenant and agency. He previously managed his own practice in Birmingham, MBA Surveyors.
The agency department is progressing a number of major instructions including 733, Alum Rock Road, Birmingham on behalf of Lidl Supermarket and Clifton Bingo Hall on Walsall Road on behalf of Wing Wah Restaurants.
Eddisons now employs six people in its Birmingham office which also provides commercial property management and building and project consultancy.

‘They are also able to call on the services of other departments within the Eddisons business to provide a totally integrated solution.’
Eddisons employs over 200 people and has offices in Leeds, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bradford ,Bristol, Glasgow, Huddersfield and Dublin.
Richard joined Eddisons in 2003 and has been the Managing Partner since 2012, a role that sees him lead the strategic direction and development of the business under the ownership of Begbies Traynor Group plc. Richard has been instrumental in the growth of the business which has seen turnover more than double since 2008.
In addition to his role as Managing Partner, Richard continues to play a vital role with key clients, particularly in the banking sector, where he is a trusted adviser to major high street clearing banks. Over the last eight years, Richard has been appointed LPA Receiver on many high profile properties and assists in the recovery of distressed loan portfolios.
Prior to joining Eddisons, Richard worked in the real estate division of a 'Big Four' firm where his notable assignments included the privatisation of Saudi Telecom for flotation on the New York Stock Exchange.
