The Industrial Agents Society has shortlisted two BTG Eddisons deals led by Eamon Kennedy for its upcoming awards, and named Eamon in the 'Best Agency Initiative' category for his work on one of the transactions.
What are we shortlisted for?
- Deal of the year – under 50,000 sq ft: 44,523 sq ft let to UCC Coffee, Linford Wood, Milton Keynes.
- Deal of the year – 50,000-100,000 sq ft: 73,063 sq ft pre-let to Routeco, Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes.
- Best Agency Initiative: Eamon Kennedy, for his work on the Linford Wood deal.
Eamon's work at Linford Wood combined an off-market opportunity, deep local knowledge and an exceptional relationship network. Knowing not just where to look but who to approach, he delivered a solution that met UCC Coffee's needs while resolving a complex multi-party situation – a strategic result driven by his initiative, insight and collaboration.
Eamon Kennedy, Director, Industrial and Logistics, commented:
“This was a deal where local market knowledge and long-established relationships genuinely made all the difference. UCC Coffee had a highly specific operational requirement and, within a constrained market, there were few viable options available. Our team has an unrivalled understanding of the Milton Keynes market, and this enabled us to identify and secure an off-market opportunity as soon as discussions began.
"The deal itself involved a number of moving parts, particularly around aligning UCC Coffee’s operational and occupational requirements with the practical realities of the building. What was especially important in its success was the collaborative approach taken internally across our teams.
"By working closely with our property management and building consultancy colleagues throughout the process, we provided the joined-up advice across the commercial, operational and technical aspects of the transaction, helping the client make informed decisions at every stage.
"Seeing UCC Coffee secure a headquarters facility that supports both its people and future growth ambitions made the outcome particularly rewarding, and I believe the transaction demonstrates the real value of proactive, relationship-led advisory and the importance of deep local knowledge in today’s market.”
Matthew Green, Property Development Director at Milton Keynes Development Partnership commented:
“We were delighted to work with Eamon Kennedy at BTG Eddisons on this important deal, which ultimately delivered an outstanding result for MKDP. Eamon was instrumental in identifying and securing an excellent new tenant for our property, demonstrating strong local market knowledge, commercial awareness, and an effective understanding of complicated occupier demand.
"Eamon’s professionalism, persistence, and ability to bring forward a quality occupier were central to the success of the reletting and provided considerable value throughout the process.”
Good luck to everyone on the night!
