Our client, a leading Spanish Steel Maker, had invested in technology to inspect and check high grade steel bars for a specific project. After 10 years the project ended and the Inspection Line became surplus to requirement.
We were approached to advise on valuation and disposal strategy, and after submitting a formal proposal we were appointed on a 6 month contract to market and sell the line.
Following a global marketing campaign a number of potential buyers inspected the line from both Europe and the Far East, and we were able to negotiate a sale to our client’s preferred buyer.
Following agreement on terms we prepared appropriate contract documentation, ensured payment was made in full and on time, and assisted the buyer with logistical arrangements including dismantling the line and shipping from Spain.
