Things have certainly been busy at Eddisons’ Huddersfield office of late, with a hat trick of deals being concluded in quick succession by the leading commercial property agent.
Acting on behalf of a local property investor, the team successfully let a 5,000 sq ft industrial unit at the entrance to Brook Forge in Cleckheaton, to Sontex Machinery Ltd off an asking rent of £22,000 per annum. The deal led to Sontex expanding their business and staying in the Cleckheaton area.
Again achieving success off an asking rent of £22,000 per annum, the Eddisons team let two units on Mill Street East in Dewsbury, to Phoenix Engineering – a light fabrications company that has relocated to the area from Wigan. The property, owned by Dewsbury-based Baig Properties, the two units extended to 6,000 sq ft and the six year lease allows Phoenix to establish its business on this side of the Pennines.
Finally, Eddisons let a 10,600 sq ft industrial unit on Crossland Factory Lane in Netherton to national hauliers, Jonen Shipping. Let on a three year lease off an asking rent of £26,500 per annum, the former Dewsbury-based company relocated due to on-going business success and expansion.
